Abstract

The purpose of this thesis wasto find about the correlation between English Literature students’ vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension at Universitas Bina Darma. The researcher applied purposive sampling to determine the samples. The total samples of this research were 30 samples. The technique of collecting the data was by using test. The data analysed by using Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The result shows that the average score of students’ vocabulary test was 81,83 and reading comprehension test was 79,33. The average score for both tests shows that students of English Literature have a Good score (Kemdikbud Classification). The finding shows that the correlation coefficient of two variables is 0,8683. It shows that there is a high correlation between thestudents’ vocabulary mastery and their reading comprehension.
