Abstract
This study describes the associative meaning in the Aladdin soundtracks lyrics. This research aims to find out the type of associative meaning in Aladdin soundtracks lyrics. In this case, associative meaning are very important for finding the meaning in the lyrics, because almost all the lyrics have a certain meaning. In this study focused only on associative meaning. There are 5 type of associative meaning in this study, including conceptual meaning, connotative meaning, social or stylistic meaning, affective meaning, and collective and reflective meaning. This study used a qualitative descriptive method in analyzing the data. Leech's theory is used in this study to analyze associative meaning. The results of this study found 89 associative meaning in Aladdin soundtracks lyrics. Furthermore, all the result indicated that the associative meaning in the Aladdin soundtracks lyrics are in accordance with the theory proposed by Leech's. All results fromthis study include all types of associative meaning.
